ID Computing Limited was incorporated in 2003 by Managing Director, Ian Duffy.

We are based in Derby and support the work of the Erewash Partnership

We are also a member of the Derby & Derbyshire Rail Forum promoting the Derbyshire region as a centre of excellence for railway and engineering businesses.

Director Profile - Ian Duffy    MA (Hons) Cantab MBCS CITP

Studied Natural Sciences at Trinity College, University of Cambridge, specialising in Mathematics and Physics.

Professional experience began with British Rail Research (later to become AEA Technology Rail) developing software for a wide variety of projects including but not limited to Diesel Engine Monitoring, Passenger Load Database, Track Recording Coach, Transfer Function Analyser and the Vehicle Modelling Package.

Subsequently, several years of experience as head of software development at Polaris Telemetry Ltd developing software for Alarm Receiving Centres, Security Systems, Home Automation System and IP Alarm Routing System.

Ian Duffy has been a Member of the British Computer Society since 2002 and achieved Chartered IT Professional status in 2006.
